அமெரிக்க சனாதிபதி ரம்பின் பாதுகாப்பு செயலாளர் Pete Hegseth முப்படைகளின் தலைமையகமான பென்டகனில் மாதாந்த கிறிஸ்தவ பிரார்த்தனையை நடைமுறை செய்திருந்தார்.

இந்த கட்டாய பிரார்த்தனையை Hegseth தானே முன்னின்று செய்வார்.

கடந்த புதன்கிழமை Hegseth தனது பென்டகன் பிரார்த்தனையில் Ezekiel 25:17 என்ற பைபிள் கூற்றுகள் என்று சில வாசகங்களை கூறி பிரார்த்தனை செய்திருந்தார்.

Hegseth கூறியது:  “The path of the downed aviator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of camaraderie and duty shepherds the lost through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to capture and destroy my brother, and you will know my call sign is Sandy 1 when I lay my vengeance upon thee. Amen.”

உண்மையில் Hegseth பிரார்த்தனைக்கு கூறியது 1994ம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த Pulp Fiction என்ற ஹொலிவூட் பட வசனங்களே. இந்த படம் லாஸ் ஏஞ்சல்ஸ் வன்முறைகளை அடிப்படையாக கொண்டது.
